Luca Mengoni  was born in 1973 and studied violin at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica “G. Rossini” in Pesaro, where he graduated with full marks in 1997 under the guide of the teacher Rosetta Segreto.
Afterwards he attended specialization courses on the orchestral activity with the masters M. Fornaciari, P.Toso, D.Rossi, S.Pagliani, P.Prencipe, G.Franzetti, M.Marin and L.Spirer, and also specialization courses on the activity as a soloist with the masters Steriu and Dora Bratchkov, F. Mannara and A. Perpich. He obtained the diploma in Didactics of Music in 2004 at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica “G. B. Pergolesi” in Fermo (AP).
He engages in various chamber music ensembles with which he performs for different cultural organizations. He is founder of the strings quartet “Eudora”, the trio “Mengoni-Agostinelli-Gigli” (violin, cello and piano), the ensemble “Du Cinéma” (violin, clarinet, contrabass and piano) and the ensemble “Voyage trio” (violin, accordion and contrabass). He also performs in a duet with the master Simone Cartuccia (violin, piano).
In addition to the chamber music activity he is engaged in the orchestral one. He collaborates with known reality as the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, Estro Armonico, Orchestra Sinfonica delle Marche and Solisti Abruzzesi.
At the moment he teaches violin at the Civica Scuola di Musica “B. Gigli” in Recanati, at the Istituto “N. Vaccay” in Tolentino and at the “Estro Armonico” in Macerata. His pupils have came out as winners in many important national competitions. Moreover he is founder and conductor of the young chamber orchestra “Sinfonietta Gigli” of Recanati.
